In the last years , the country has been directed its concerns forward to implementing desalination and sewage treatment (dualism-triple) plants to maximize the benefit of each drop of water , reusing the treated water in specified purposes for that.
From here the president directs the government to the necessary of integrating strategy of see water and wells desalination for planned management of water there for, desalination and purification plants has been implemented in ( Qebli qaroun – wadi elnatron – elwadi elgdid – elhamam) with a collaboration with the main contractor of the project.
Implement desalination plants for salty wells and purification plants for dulcet wells , storing water in balancing tanks and then distribution .
- Wedge wells at height of range (50 – 110m) under earth surface providing them with high pressure pumps in the bottom to lift water in two different path
- First path : Purification and filtration plant for dulcet underground water A Purification station provided with multi media sandy filters to purify it from impurities then adding some admixtures to equalize water percentages passing by cartridge filters which they are ionic filters so that getting rid of invisible impurities to make it potable for human usage.
- Second path : desalination plant for salty underground water
- Water passing through three phases
- I. Preliminary treatment – water stored in storage tanks then going in path for adding chlorine .
- II. Desalination stage – By using pump , water pumped into multi-media filters to purify it from impurities then pumped into filters with microenal pores allow water molecules only to pass and prevent salt molecules then passing into cartridge filters to make it super clear
- III. Final treatment – Water has been sanitized with chlorine with adding soda to get rid of any smell or impurities and store it to be ready for distribution
- Finally store it into concrete tanks 800m3 capacity to be ready for distribution
- Desalination stations kill all bacterial pollutants , remove lead which ensures getting clearly potable water.
- Increasing water resources as a result of the abundance declining of dulcet resources.
- Generate hydroelectricity energy due to pumping water to desalination stations which is used in turning on the stations as we can reduce the process cost highly.
- Several industries benefit from the resulted salt which can be used in many ways.
